Connect the DotsIf Lee Oswald was framed for the murders, the Dallas Police would had to have had, some involvement. The handling of the evidence as well as the appearance and disappearance of major components, raises those doubts. One might think that sounds outrageous, but upon closer inspection, it seems to take some bizarre turns. It would mean that DPD already had some kind of relationship with Lee, since he had returned from Russia. Presumably, there was some FBI contact, and there is an agreement at the end of August 1962 to be an informant. That was Dallas FBI Agent Fain. When he retired, he handed his files (along with the Oswalds) over to FBI Agent James Hosty. The couple was being watched, including the mail. The agent wanted to interview Marina regarding her immigration status as routine. Hosty claimed to have never met Lee, until 11/22. Yet, FBI Agent Shanklin had told Fritz, he wanted Agent Hosty in the interrogations, "Mr. Shanklin asked that Mr. Hosty be in on that questioning, he said he wanted him in there because of Mr. Hosty knowing these people and he had been talking to them and he wanted him in there right then." Hosty worked closely with Dallas Police Intelligence Division, Lt Jack Revill, and had known Jack since 1959, when Revill took over that division. Dallas Police Chief, Jesse Curry explained Hosty & Revill's role working together in the intelligence division, "Yes, it is; their(criminal intelligence section) assignment is to keep track of these groups that we have talked about, possible subversive or extremist groups and try to know something about their plans, their movements." That, appears to be the business Lee Oswald was in back in New Orleans, having agreed to report to the FBI, since August, 1962. If Oswald was working with the FBI, then he would have known, Lt. Jack Revill. On 11/22, that Lieutenant set up a "home base" on the 4th floor of TSBD. When the building manager, Roy Truly, ran up the stairs with Officer Baker, they saw Oswald on the 2nd floor. Truly vouched for Lee, and the men continued. On the way down, they stopped on the 4th floor, where Baker spoke to Inspector Sawyer about having gone to the roof. Strange, Truly did not remember the encounter. But, when he got off the elevator, he suddenly must find Lee Harvey Oswald. He had just seen him a moment before. Someone, I suspect Revill, tipped off the manager. Meanwhile, someone has told the Asst. Manager as well. There are three people in this story that Oswald must not know, Jack Ruby (for obvious reasons), David Ferrie, (New Orleans) and James Hosty. It was carved out that way. Evidence has been manipulated to erase ANY prior relationship that might indicate an Anti-Castro militant setup. And, Hosty's connection to Lt Revill, Intelligence Division, draws a line to a previous relationship between Lee and the Dallas Police.

Catch Me if You CanJames Patrick Hosty Jr., had been with the FBI for about 10 years on Nov. 22nd. He transferred to Dallas a year after he was hired. He said, that his predecessor Agent Fain, had closed the Oswald file. When Hosty began looking for Marina, he found they had moved because of an eviction due to fighting. He decided to hold off on contacting her until things, "cool off". As he continued looking at the Oswald file, he realized, Lee was on a mailing list of a Communist newspaper "The Daily Worker", that was when he knew he should open the file on them both and attempt to make contract. He was too late. By April '63, the Oswalds had packed up for New Orleans. What is remarkable is what happens next. Hosty claims he could not get in touch with them. He finally reached out to the New Orleans office and verified Lee was in town. This was on or about June 17, '63. Remarkable because, Lee had very close contact with FBI agent, Warren deBrueys while in the Big Easy. That agent was tacked to Oswald like a shadow. Hosty cannot find Oswald? Something doesn't add up. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "I Know You." Hosty's name, building address, and license plate number, were found in Oswald's address book.By all indications, this was probably written in after Lee came back from New Orleans. Perhaps some time in Oct. 1962. FBI Agent, Gordon Shanklin told Fritz, he wanted Hosty in the interrogations on Nov. 22 nd, because, "he knew these people". In the interrogation room, Lee grew angry, "...Mr. Hosty, you have been accosting my wife. You mistreated her on two different occasions when you talked with her...I know you. Well, he threatened her. He practically told her she would have to go back to Russia." from: "The Last Words Of Lee Harvey Oswald" Compiled by, Mae Brussel +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CE 270 | Marguerite Oswald 11/25/63Q. Earlier, we were talking to Marina about some federal agency contacting Lee and asking him a lot of things. Can you tell me what federal agency this was that kept contacting Lee, like here recently? A. I asked Marina. She did not know the man's name. It sounded like Thomas or Howard but he was a short man full face, black hair, he came three times, not too long ago he came about a week or so ago, and Marina told me that FBI.... Why Marina tells me these things; I was reading newspaper accounts and I said that Lee said, as stated in the paper, that FBI agents had come to the house recently and the paper stated that this was checked and checked out thoroughly in Washington and that no FBI agent had come to where they were living in Irving. Marina says, "Ma Ma, this is not true." FBI agents came to Irving and I said, Do you know his name?" No, Howard, Thomas, I don't know. I asked Marina, what did he look like? Stout man, fat face, black hair, she said, Lee tell truth. FBI came to house Mrs. Paine has name of agent." -------------------- "Oswald’s mother said an “agent named Hosty” came to the Irving house and talked to the young man at length in his car." Got Your Back Cabell CrichtonEarle Cabell was the Mayor of Dallas from May, 1961 to Feb. 1964. Then, a member of the US House of Representatives from '65-73. Notably, his older brother, Charles Cabell was the Deputy Director of the CIA, under Allen Dulles, from 1953-1962. Dulles was a key member of the Warren Commission investigating the murder of JFK, who had dismissed both he and Cabell, '61 & '62. 2017 released documents confirm what researchers had suspected, Earle Cabell was a CIA asset while Mayor of Dallas on 11/22. His close relationship with Jack Crichton was at arm's length with the high ranking police officers involved in surveillance of the Russian community in Dallas. Part of that was an intelligence division at the Dallas Police commanded by Lt. Jack Revill. Jack Critchen, was an oil man. Graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, from Texas A & M in 1937. In the 50's, he had heavy interest in Latin American oil, particularly Cuba and the dictator Fulgencio Batista. George de Mohrenschildt was closely involved these negotiations just prior to the Bay of Pigs Invasion. George H W Bush was a close friend of Jack's and the president of the Zapata Off-Shore (Oil) Company. In 1956, Crichton started his own Army Intelligence Unit in Dallas, the 488th Military Intelligence Detachment. It is a compelling piece of evidence relating high ranking Dallas Police officers tagged to the case and their connection to 488th, Deputy Chief George Lumpkin / Lt. Jack Revill / Capt. Pat Gannaway / Capt. William Westbrook / Sgt. Gerald Hill and Det. Don Stringfellow. Crichton once bragged there were "about a hundred men in that unit and about forty or fifty of them were from the Dallas Police Department." Some signed on to protect the President. In a city where the Police Dept works under a Mayor that was a CIA asset, and the brother of the disgraced Deputy of that agency. Somewhere in that setup, standard procedures, safety protocols, and protections were dropped. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The CIA, Vietnam, and the Plot to Assassinate John F. Kennedyby L. Fletcher Prouty"The commander of an army unit, specially trained in protection and based in nearby San Antonio, Texas, had been told he and his men would not be needed in Dallas. “ Another army unit will cover that city,” the commander was told. I have worked with military presidential protection units. I called a member of that army unit later. I was told that the commander “had offered the services of his unit for protection duties for the entire trip through Texas,” that he was “point-blank and categorically refused by the Secret Service,” and that “there were hot words between the agencies. ” I was told that this army unit, the 316th Field Detachment of the 112th Military Intelligence Group at Fort Sam Houston in the Fourth Army Area, “had records on Lee Harvey Oswald, before November 22.” It “knew Dallas was dangerous,” the commander told my associate in explaining why he had offered his services, despite a call to “stand down.”

Window Watching Limo turning onto Elm St.Winston Lawson, was a Secret Service agent on this trip, and a key player in the setup and coordination with local police. He had done some Intelligence training in the Army and graduated from CIC Counterintelligence School in Holabird, Md in 1955. From there, he went to Syracuse NY, where he graduated from Secret Service School, and began working for the White House in 1961. It was this agent's job to coordinate with the Dallas Police, No parked cars along the parade route, no access to the motorcade from directly above at bridge crossings, no open windows, limited access to the car at slow turns, are just a few of the duties assigned to the police and local authorities for a safe trip. Lawson, testified in Spring '64, and brought legal counsel from the US Treasury Dept. He was asked about watching windows along the parade. He told Commission attorney, Samuel Stern, he did not remember who he instructed on this standard procedure he had done so many times before. This time it resulted in the death of the president, and from when this happened, until testifying April '64, he never once tried to track that down. Instead, he gave one of the most disgusting and disturbing answers in all these proceedings. He didn't remember if, "he gave the instruction".Like naughty little school children they suddenly don't remember who may have said it, or who they told it to. Mr. LAWSON. I cannot say definitely that I told the police to watch windows. I usually do. On this particular case I cannot say whether I definitely said that. I believe I did, but I would not swear to the fact that I said watch all the windows. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cannot SayThe Dallas Police had a huge hand in the planning and setup of this visit. Lawson knew exactly who it was that he should have told. Both, he and Special (SS) Agent Forrest Sorrells, planned the parade route while (DPD) Deputy Chief Charles Batchelor, took notes. "Deputy Chief Batchelor took notes on police requirements for main intersections, crowd, underpass and overpass policing, railroad crossing, of crowds heavily anticipated areas and details for escorts participation." Statement of SA Lawson | CE 769Although is no mention of it specifically, Batchelor was the officer Lawson would have told to have men watching the windows. The Police Chief testified he was never given that instruction, "...we did have men in the middle of the block, but they weren't instructed to watch the windows as much as they were to watch the people." I have a problem "told the police". Lawson knows it would have been Batchelor, the chief was with him in the car driving the parade route while taking specific instructions. That is the breakdown, either Lawson told Batchelor to watch windows, and the Deputy Chief ignored the instruction, or, Lawson never told him. Regardless, he never went back or followed up on what specific instructions were given (or not given) that resulted in an assassination. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A Hit ParadeAccording to the WC Report, the parade route was published on Nov. 19 th and did not change. This is not true. The Dallas Morning News published the direct Main St. route on the front page on the 22 nd. The report goes onto misrepresent the wording of the articles it quoted, then left out the DMN map completely. Forest Sorrels and Winston Lawson, of the Secret Service, along with Assistant Chief Charles Batchelor of the Dallas Police built the route. Certainly, the Secret Service men knew the rules of what was allowed. Two sharp consecutive turns under open windows, approaching a crowded overpass was not. If Oswald knew the parade route a few days before from newspapers, there is no proof he would have known if the motorcade would pass directly below him, or at Main St., or the speed at which it would travel. The turns should have been avoided. Col. Fletcher Prouty, former member of the Joints Chiefs of Staff;"How simple and how correct it would have keen for Secret Service men, aided by all of the Armed Forces required, to have checked those buildings, to have sealed any unused floors (such as that famous deserted sixth floor), and then to have shut all of the front windows. Then, by placing a radio-equipped man in the Plaza, all he would have had to do was to watch if a single window opened. If it did, he would call to the man on the roof and have someone dispatched to check that window, and with that same call he would have alerted the whole force, especially those with the President's party."

Up & Down the LiftOn 11/22, Roy Truly was the Manager of the Texas School Book Depository Building at the corners of Elm St. and Houston St, in Dallas. The building housed about 78 employees, and maintained books, shipped to a number of school districts throughout the country. The asst. manager that Truly relied on for day to day operation, was William Shelley. He had been working there almost 20 years. In the first moments after the assassination, a motorcycle policeman, Marion Baker, ran into the building looking for the way to the roof. Truly took him up the back stairs. On the second floor, they came upon Oswald in the lunchroom. Truly vouched for Lee, and they went on their way. Meanwhile, the Dallas Police had descended upon the building. Lt Jack Revill, set up "Home Base" on the fourth floor for the search of the premises. Mr. REVILL. Myself and Lieutenant Frank Dyson took charge of the search...We conducted a systematic search of the building, evacuated the people working in the building, and took names, addresses, and phone numbers of all of these people before they were permitted to leave. In the WC Testimony of Baker & Truly, Attorney Belin goes thru each floor with the men up and down the building. There was no elevator on the ground when Baker arrived, so they ran up the stairs. Oddly without caution, Truly led the way. They met a calm Lee Oswald in the second floor lunchroom, and Truly, without any reason to suspect the boy, vouched for his presence. As they continued up, they found the elevator on the fifth floor and rode that to the seventh floor for access to the roof. Strange, that on the way down, Baker did not step off at the sixth, and Truly mentioned, the officer only had a quick look without getting out. The next stop was on four, where the Dallas Police were based. Truly remembered, but wouldn't say he spoke to them. Baker volunteered it. The attorney was keen not to ask about who or what was discussed. There was no elaboration on what the status or intend may have been. Remember, Truly just vouched for Lee a moment ago. It is when he got off the elevator, that he had a sudden urgency to find the boy. It appears that while on the elevator, he was told, a guy that works there may have assassinated the President. Lee was singled out. At the same time, his manager, Bill Shelley, also needed to find Oswald. He was asking Truly if he had seen him. But then, who told Shelley? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ WC TestimonyMr. TRULY. Then we continued on down, and we saw officers on the fourth floor. I don’t recall that we stopped any more until we reached the first floor. But I do recall there was an officer on the fourth floor, by the time we got down that far. Mr. BELIN. All right. -------------------- Mr. BAKER – The next thing that I noticed was Inspector Sawyer, he was on one of those floors there, he is a police inspector. Mr. DULLES – City of Dallas Police? Mr. BAKER – Yes, sir. And he was on, I really didn’t notice which floor he was on, but that is the first thing I saw as we descended how this freight elevator, you know, it has got these picket boards in front of it and it has got it open so far, and it seemed to me like we stopped for a moment and I spoke to him and I told him that I had been to the roof, and there wasn’t anything on the roof that would indicate anybody being up there, and then we started on down. Mr. BELIN – Did you stay on the elevator while you spoke to him? Mr. BAKER – Yes, sir. Mr. BELIN – Do you remember what floor it was that you spoke to him on or how many floors down that you went from the top before you saw him? Mr. BAKER – No, sir; not at that time. It seemed to me like it was on either the third or the fourth floor. Belin did not ask what was discussed.

Coaching in Conclave Oswald was back in Dallas by the 1st week of Oct. '63. He had spent the summer in New Orleans and a short time in Mexico City. While in New Orleans, he was seen quite often with an FBI agent, Warren deBrueys. This G-man has been 'shadowing' Lee since he arrived. Orset Pena owned the Habana Bar & Lounge, he was an informant for deBrueys. The agent would attend Cuban Revolutionary Council Meetings. Everyone knew he was FBI, and Pena never let on to those around him that he had this arrangement. Researcher, Harold Weisberg;"...[shadowing] it's about making your presence known - the one thing you never do with an informer is associate with him because obviously he is not going to get any stuff for you...Warren deBrueys is fluent in Spanish, translates documents, he is one of these Spanish experts, he is one of the Oswald experts, Pena had been an informant for him reporting on those for Castro. When Oswald left New Orleans so did deBnueys. When Oswald wound up in Dallas so did deBrueys. When he was no longer in Dallas neither was deBrueys. He came back to New Orleans when Oswald got murdered a remarkable coincidence, gentlemen." Pena suspected Oswald was an agent, and that, Lee knew deBrueys "very very well". He told the HSCA he had seen the two together. Oct. 13,'63, Lee was back in Dallas, and attended a meeting of the "Student Revolutionary Directorate", a CIA sponsored Anti Castro group. General Edwin Walker, also attended that meeting on the 13th. Although, he initially denied it on the stand to the Warren Commission. If Orset Pena was right about Warren deBrueys coming back to Dallas with Lee, it would be most likely the FBI agent was there too. At the time, Oswald had some personal items stored at the Paine house. One item found in the search, was an FBI issued document camera. The Minox III camera found in the garage by the Dallas police was turned over to the FBI. The FBI returned the item as a light meter. Also, in the garage, were filing cabinets [not his] of Pro Castro sympathizers. While in New Orleans, Lee Oswald visited both pro and anti Castro groups, visibly handed Castro leaflets in front of the Trade Mart, got himself arrested and then on the radio as an admitted Marxist. Mid-Oct, he was back in Dallas, attending an Anti Castro meeting, with radical right wing defenders. Perhaps part of some new assignment.

Walker ReleaseOn Nov 29, '63, there was an article in Germany called, "The Strange Case of Oswald" it appeared in a paper called, "Deutsche National Zeitung". The article sad that, on the night of the Walker shooting, the President's assassin was captured by police, but the investigation was stopped by RFK, "The murderer of Kennedy made an attempt on US General Walker's life early in the summer when General Walker was sitting in his study. The bullet missed Walker's head only by inches. Oswald was seized, but the following investigation as it was reported to us was stopped by Attorney General, Robert Kennedy. In the case that Oswald would have been imprisoned for many years and so he would not have been able to commit the murder of John F Kennedy, the brother of Robert Kennedy."While on the stand, Liebeler asked Walker if he had provided the information, to which he replied no. There is reason to believe that is not true. Walker told Leibeler, the editor, Hasso Thorsten, had called him. When the FBI equivalent in Germany the "BFV", contacted the editor, they learned Hasso Thortson, was an alias for Helmut Munch. Munch told the FBI, Gen Walker said, that he had heard Lee Oswald, was the shooter seven months earlier. He also told the reporter that a Dallas Police Lieutenant had told him Oswald was arrested that night, then released to a higher authority. Walker confirmed that in a 1975 letter to Frank Church, and the Senate Committee investigating the power abuse of Intelligence Agencies. This is absolute proof of Lee Oswald's involvement with a Federal authority and cooperation by the Dallas Police. The two individuals in the Intelligence Division, at DPD, that might involve Walker, are FBI Agent, James Hosty and DPD, Lt. Jack Revill. If Lee was taken in the night of the Walker shooting, was he there to brief the authorities on what he knew of the incident? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Don't Stand so Close to MeLieutenant Jack Revill, knew FBI James Hosty, since he had taken over in Criminal Intelligence Section at the Dallas Police. They would have worked very close together on a number of cases involving right wing groups, and subversives. Hosty, and Dallas Police hijacked the gun running sting set up by ATF agent John Ellsworth on 11/18/63. This was a Minutemen operation involving the drop off of automatic weapons 4 days before the presidents arrival. In 2003, Hosty told told Don Moore, Senior Writer for the Charlotte Sun daily newspaper, Port Charlotte, Fla. “I was a special agent and the majority of my cases at the Dallas office were domestic intelligence, “Klansmen and Gen. Edwin Walker and his Minutemen. I had to keep an eye on the general and his crew.” On Oct. 13 th, Lee Oswald attended a meeting of the "Student Revolutionary Directorate", a CIA sponsored Anti Castro group in Dallas. General Walker was there. Where was the FBI? Weisberg, said, that Pena told him, when Lee came to Dallas, so did Agent Warren deBrueys. Oswald had agreed to be an FBI informant in the Summer of '62. He had been attending Anti Castro meetings in New Orleans, sometimes with the FBI. Evidence shows this to carried over into Dallas when he returned in Oct. These broken threads of evidence lead to a prior relationship with DPD. FBI agent Hosty, and Dallas Police Intelligence LT Jack Revill, would have been well aware of his actions, and movements. Then, once Lee became the "lone nut" assassin, these men must have nothing to do with him.

Gun StingIn Nov. '63, Frank Ellsworth, was working for the Federal government as an agent at the Dept. Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms. After 9/11, that agency became the Dept. of Homeland Security. Ellsworth was working on a sting operation involving a gun dealer, named, John Masen. That guy happened to be only one of 2 in the Dallas area, that stocked the bullets for the Carcano. It wasn't bullets Frank was interested in. It was a robbery at Fort Hood, Army base, in Kileen TX, about 150 miles SW of Dallas. Ellsworth told the HSCA, Masen was, "...in a position to give us unlimited supply of almost anything the military had in the way of ordnance." The agent came on strong, and pretended to be a "dirty cop" from Irving, out for some extra cash. A deal was set up for Nov. 18th, just four days before the assassination. Ellsworth was promised, "...the latest and best stuff"What the agent didn't know, was the FBI and Police were working against him. As Ellsworth, waited at his designated pickup point, unaware of the drop from a Dodge to a blue Thunderbird, FBI agent Hosty, and four Dallas Police detectives, had swooped in and made the arrest. The next day, Ellsworth contacted Mason to find out what had happened. Mason told the agent to check the newspapers. The two men arrested were, Donnell D. Whitter and Lawrence R. Miller, after an 80 mile an hour chase ended by crashing into a utility pole. Piled on the back floor boards were, 2 air cooled, 36 cal. machine guns, a 45 cal. sub machine gun, and 2 Browning automatic rifles. These weapons were part of a heist, from a TX National Guard Armory. FBI Hosty and 2 detectives were staked out to watch the drop. Once they saw the weapons exchanged, they radioed a cruiser to pull them over for a traffic violation, then the chase ensued. DPD Officers, J.B. Allen and J.R Sales(sp?) pursued the car at high speed until the crash. Both ex cons, ended up in the lock up on 11/22. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A Brother Can TellJohn Franklin Elrod, was a Dallas resident. He had struggled with alcoholism and was homeless at the time of the assassination. Soon after the shooting, he was arrested for vagrancy about 2 1/2 miles from Dealey Plaza, then brought to Dallas Police Headquarters. When Lee Oswald was arrested and brought to his cell-block, both Elrod and prisoners Whitter & Miller saw the man being walked past them. One of the cellmates told Elrod, that guy, was the same one that assisted the gun deal with Jack Ruby in a motel room, a few days before. He was released Sunday, 11/24. His brother remembered, "John told me that day, he was in the same cell with Lee Harvey Oswald, and that he knew Oswald didn't kill Kennedy," Lindy said in an interview in 1993. "He was very scared about something that happened. He made a 180-degree turnaround and left me in the lurch—never came back to his job." He relocated to Tennessee and tried to get sober. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The Fourth Tramp: Oswald's Lost Cellmate and the Gunrunners of DallasRay and Mary La Fontaine | Washington Post Aug. 1994"...If Elrod's story is true—and many of its details have been confirmed, the accused presidential assassin knew about the inner working of a gunrunning network that was under investigation by federal agents in Dallas in the fall 1963. These gunrunners trafficked in weapons stolen from U.S. government arsenals, And, according to recently released FBI documents, two of them were suspected of supplying guns to anti-Castro groups that were planning to mount an invasion of Cuba in the last week of November 1963."

Take a Letter, Marina
The Assassination Records Review Board, was an agency created by the Federal Government, to oversee the release of records related to the JFK assassination. This was a result of the "John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992" That act, requiring full public disclosure was made in part by the efforts of Oliver Stone, and his blockbuster film, "JFK". Simply stated, it shall consist of copies of all U.S. government records relating to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, The ARRB was active from Oct. 1994 to Sept. 1998. During that four years, it was to, preserve the collected evidence for public scrutiny.
In April 1996, Marina Oswald Porter, the wife of the accused assassin, wrote a letter to the ARRB, concerning the release of certain documents. She had read the book, "Oswald Talked" by Mary & Ray La Fontaine. She brought up a number of things that were taken directly from that book. The arrest of Donnell D. Whitter and Lawrence R. Miller. She believes were made possible by her husband as an informant. FBI Interrogations of John Franklin Elrod, John Forrester Gedney and Harold Doyle. A full report on Oswald's visit to the FBI on 11/16. Reports from Ed J. Coyle, on his investigation of Capt. George Nonte, John Thomas Masen, Donnell D. Whitter, Lawrence R. Miller, and/or Jack Ruby.
All of what she was asking for, relates to Lee's operations as an informant, probably for the FBI. These would have been coordinated with DPD. It obviously points to FBI Agent James Hosty, and his name, address, and license plate being in Oswald's notebook, as having been in contact. That was confirmed by Marina, having told her mother-in-law, Marguerite, he had visited the house, and she had seen the men in the car, talking.
At the end of April,'96, Marina received a response, "...a letter from Mr. Thomas Samoluk, public relations director, in which he more or less politely brushes me off." She decided to prepare a statement and present it in person.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Personal Appearance
Marina Oswald Porter, appeared before the Assassination Records Review Board on Sept. 17, 1996. In her previous correspondence, she was made aware, their purpose was not an investigative determination, but of collection, and their powers were limited to the subpoena of documents. She talked about her agreement with the findings of the Warren Commission, that she had blindly believed what she was told. She had trusted the government, even as she heard from those that "...questioned the findings of the commission...". Still, she defended the government conclusions.
When she appeared before the House Select Committee on Assassination, in 1978, she said, she had some questions for them that could be answered privately. She was told, "...I was there only to answer questions, not to ask them. So I knew that that investigation was doomed." She talked about how she became the culprit, suddenly she was being investigated, that the FBI knew more about her than she did. Based on her full cooperation thru many years, and all the 'dirty laundry' she has had to endure, she feels deserving of answers without begging. Here is the original list of documents she requested be collected by the ARRB;
1. The Dallas field office and headquarters FBI reports on the arrests of Donnell D. Whitter and Lawrence R. Miller in Dallas on November 18, 1963 with a carload of stolen U.S. army weapons. I believe that Lee Oswald was the FBI informant who made these arrests possible. I would also like to know what your board has done to obtain the reports of the U.S. Marshal and the U.S. Army on the same arrests, and the burglary these men were suspected of.
2. The records of the FBI interrogations of John Franklin Elrod, John Forrester Gedney and Harold Doyle (the latter men were previously known as two of the "three tramps") in the Dallas jail November 22-24, 1963. All of these men have stated that they were interrogated during that time by the FBI.
3. The official explanation of why the arrest records for Mr. Elrod, Mr. Gedney, and Mr. Doyle, as well as for Daniel Wayne Douglas and Gus Abrams were placed "under federal seal" in the Dallas Police Records Division for 26 years as described by Dallas City Archives supervisor Laura McGhee to the FBI in 1992.
4. The FULL records of the interrogation of Lee Harvey Oswald, including his interrogation in the presence of John Franklin Elrod as described by Elrod in an FBI report dated August 11, 1964.
5. The reports of army intelligence agent Ed J. Coyle on his investigation of Captain George Nonte, John Thomas Masen, Donnell D. Whitter, Lawrence R. Miller, and/or Jack Ruby. I am also requesting that you obtain agent Coyle's reports as army liaison for presidential protection on November 22, 1963 (as described by Coyle's commanding officer Col. Robert Jones in sworn testimony to the House Select Committee on Assassinations). If the army does not immediately produce these documents, they should be required to produce agent Coyle to explain what happened to his reports.
6. Secret Service reports and tapes of that agency's investigation of Father Walter Machann and Silvia Odio in 1963-64.
7. Reports of the FBI investigation of Cuban exiles in Dallas, to include known but still classified documents on Fermin de Goicochea Sanchez, Father Walter Machann and the Dallas Catholic Cuban Relocation Committee. These would include informant files for Father Machann and/or reports of interviews of Father Machann by Dallas FBI agent W.Heitman.
8. The full particulars and original of the teletype received by Mr. William Walter in the New Orleans FBI office on the morning of November 17, 1963, warning of a possible assassination attempt on President Kennedy in Dallas. I now believe that my former husband met with the Dallas FBI on November 16, 1963, and provided informant information on which this teletype was based.
9. A full report of Lee Harvey Oswald's visit to the Dallas FBI office on November 16, 1963.
10. A full account of FBI agent James P. Hosty's claim (in his recent book, ASSIGNMENT: OSWALD) that Lee Harvey Oswald knew of a planned "paramilitary invasion of Cuba" by "a group of right wing Cuban exiles in outlying areas of New Orleans. We now know that such an invasion was indeed planned by a Cuban group operating on CIA payroll in Miami, New Orleans, and Dallas--the same group infiltrated by Lee Oswald. We know this information ONLY from documents released since 1992, as described in the book I have mentioned. On what basis did agent Hosty believe Lee "had learned" of these plans, unless Lee himself told him this? I am therefore specifically requesting the release of the informant report that Lee Oswald provided to agent Hosty and/or other FBI personnel on this intelligence information.
Part of the ARRB response to Marina explained, "...the FBI denies the occurrence of an event for which the LaFontaines allege records should exist. For example, the FBI's position is that there was not a November 16, 1963 meeting between Mr. Oswald and an FBI agent and thus no relevant records exist..."
The importance of her request in this matter cannot be stressed enough. She was asking for specific evidence that relates to Lee's relationship with the FBI/DPD. It could mean proof of Oswald's involvement in some kind of military intelligence operation.
The FBI ignored any further inquiry, and the ARRB closed up shop in, Sept. of 1998.

Stop Check | SummaryIn the Summer of'63, Lee Oswald was living in New Orleans. He sometimes attended anti Castro meetings with an FBI agent. Once he was back in Dallas, a few months later, that behavior continued. In Oct. he attended a meeting of an Anti Castro group called, "Student Revolutionary Directorate". Gen Edwin Walker was also at that meeting. Researcher Harold Weisberg, suspected, the New Orleans FBI agent, Warren deBrueys may have also been in attendance. Oswald appears to be working for somebody, and it involves guns. He is involved anti Castro groups and may be reporting back to the FBI as some sort of assignment. If that is true, then once back in Dallas, he was working with Lt. Revill, of DPD Intelligence, and Special Agent James Hosty of the FBI. From Hosty's book, "Assignment Oswald", "My caseload in the four-man counter-intelligence squad in the Dallas office was dominated by right-wingers. I spent much of my time tracking the movements and actions of both Klan members and members of former US Army General Edwin Walker’s radical militia group, known as the Minutemen."Four days before the assassination, there was a gun sting in Dallas that involved stolen weapons from US Military Installations. One of those involved, was gun dealer, John Mason. That guy was the only one of two shops that sold the bullet shells found at TSBD. Researchers Mary & Ray La Fontaine, suspected Lee may have been the informant that tipped off the arrest. Marina Oswald Porter agrees. Cellmate John Elrod, said he was told by another prisoner that weekend that Oswald and Ruby were involved in the purchase of the weapons. If that is the case, it puts a new light on the relationship between Lee and Agent Hosty as well as Lt. Revill in the Intelligence Division at DPD. The Lieutenant, was on the assassination scene at TSBD, and was probably the one that told Mr Truly that Lee Harvey Oswald is the guy we want. The manager had just seen the boy and vouched for his having worked there. He had no reason to suspect Lee for anything unless he was told. Oswald was on the 2nd floor. He did not appear out of breath or stressed, Officer Baker, originally said, he had an open Coca-Cola in his hand. While the two men were going up and down the stairs, covering all floors, they curiously avoided the 6th. Was Truly instructed to stay away? These things did not just happen. The two turns that the car made from Main St. To Houston, Houston to Elm, were against basic protocol. Secret Service Agent, Winston Lawson, said he was not sure who he told at the Dallas Police to check the windows and overpasses. Looking at the testimony it is obvious that it was, Charles Batchelor, but the Deputy Chief, claimed no one from Secret Service gave that order. Yet, such a serious breakdown in basic safety protocol without legitimate explanation is an obvious indication of some inside connection. Jack Critchen, commanded and Army Intelligence Unit, the 488th Military Intelligence Detachment. They were in charge of the president's protection. He once bragged there were "about a hundred men in that unit and about forty or fifty of them were from the Dallas Police Department."Deputy Chief George Lumpkin / Lt. Jack Revill / Capt. William Westbrook / Sgt. Gerald Hill, are some of the officers that played a dirty hand in this setup. Former Joint Chiefs Colonel, L. Fletcher Prouty, said the 316th Field Detachment of the 112th Military Intelligence Group at Fort Sam Houston, had instructions to "stand down", despite having, "...records on Lee Harvey Oswald, before November 22”. Meanwhile, on Oct 09, '63, Lee was taken off a Hotlist by FBI agent Marvin Ghessling. That list would have called attention to anyone of concern along the parade route. The conclusion is simple, once Lee was arrested, there had to have been some previous relationship with DPD based on the way they treated him. The obvious planting of evidence, denying him a lawyer, intentional malpractice of lineups, and forging of documents were all done by the DPD. These things are not utilized upon some nobody, not already known to be somehow involved. That is the key to these broken strands of evidence.
