An attempt at modelling the Ramsey home in 3D using freeware. I found this on YouTube, and even without downloading any software the walk through of the home in 3D is an excellent supplement to the floor plan and videos available that I've posted previously on the Discussion board. Note that you can jump directly to the rooms in the house using the times in the video description on YT.

A detail worth noting, which I didn't pay attention to myself, is the short passageway between the butler's pantry and the front hallway also leading to the basement stairs behind a door. When the basement door is opened to access the basement, the passageway is blocked by that door. This can be seen in some of the footage, and I've listed the times below particular to these videos. @9:05 3D-model in opening post ( LINK) @0:10 Crime scene footage, part 2 ( LINK) @10:42 Home Tour 2B, from pantry ( LINK) @17:00 Home Tour 2B, abruptly from hallway ( LINK) What I initially couldn't make out just from looking at the floor plans was how to access the small bathroom in the north-eastern corner of the house. Negotiating the stairs through the pantry to get to the bathroom seemed awkward. I'm sure some architect had great fun visualizing the passageway in 3D to tie everything together. This also allowed guests access to a bathroom and powder room from the living room area via the front hallway. At some time during the morning of the 26th, someone reported the pantry door being ajar, indicating an intruder could have left the basement through the butler's kitchen. But why? If he entered the basement by lifting the grate by the patio door, which is to the south of the house facing the alley, why exit from the north which forces him past the front door to get back to the alley? Exiting straight though the pantry out the patio door would lead him right past the spiral staircase to pick up the ransom note on his way out. Actually, it makes the placement of the suitcase to assist in leaving through the basement window even more hilarious!
