JANUARY 2024 UPDATE
First, you may have noticed that lately I've predominantly posted on the Discussion Board in matters related to the Jonbenet Ramsey case. The reason being that I've gone through many pages of written material (transcripts and two books) along with numerous videos on YouTube, either Ramsey interviews or analysis related to the case, which have led me to a number of conclusions that needed to be documented.
My current focus is on the events that took place the morning of December 26 between 5:30 a.m. (5:25 a.m. if John Ramsey wasn't lying) and 6:00 a.m., when the first police officer, Rich French, arrived. The more I dive into the details of this half-hour window, the more evidence seems to surface that plugs the biggest rabbit hole in the case: the alleged intruder.
I've realized that roping off the rabbit holes in the case is the only way to achieve some kind of progress. The strategy of Team Ramsey was exactly the opposite: to flood the Boulder PD with useless leads that would consume their time and distract them from focusing on the Ramseys. As it turned out, they were very successful in achieving their goal, assisted by scumbag DA Alex Hunter and his sidekicks, who leaked insider information from the detectives to the Ramsey lawyers, which often allowed them to be one step ahead of the investigation.
As the case stands today, I don't expect it to be solved. By solved, I mean pinpointing the person, or persons, who killed Jonbenet. To me, there is no doubt the Ramseys were involved in covering up the murder. The way they have been lying their eyes out since day one, pushing a hopeless narrative, is all you need to know. Any analysis and deep dive into the case have become more of an intellectual exercise that cements what we already know about the key players, who are the Ramseys, Stines, Fernies, and Whites.
Next, I'll outline how I intend to prioritize the cases covered so far (and some not yet covered) in order of importance to me; it all comes down to the time one can justify investing in a particular case.
Jonbenet Ramsey Murder [1996]
This case will receive the bulk of my attention, not spent on the JFK case, but overall I will ramp up my effort on JFK/Tippit and reduce time on Murders Most Foul. When I post it, it will be more within open-ended threads covering specific interviews with the Ramseys, like Larry King and Paula Woodward, plus miscellaneous police interviews. This will be mostly statement analysis, since this has become my preferred tool when trying to penetrate cases. It also seems to give the most spinoff when studying the JFK case transcripts, which was one of my goals when creating Murders Most Foul.
The Dephi Murders [2017]
This is probably the most disturbing case I've been looking at closely, involving the murder of two teenagers, known as Abby (13) and Libby (14), and what looks like the framing of a murder suspect, Richard Allen. Not unlike the Jonbenet case, there seem to be conflicts of interest at all levels of LE (read: corruption). Even the judge was recently overruled when she tried to get rid of Richard Allen's defense lawyers.
I've stopped actively following the case, but occasionally I watch Crime Knigth's1 YouTube channel for the latest developments. I still plan on doing a statement analysis of Doug Carter, who has such deviant mannerisms that I believe something must surface when his statements are picked apart.
Nicola Bulley's alleged drowning [2023]
From day one, there were immediate signs of obfuscation in preparation for a coverup. As expected, the case was closed following a coroner's inquest, which can best be described as a scam. I was surprised at how quickly the so-called true crime community abandoned the case after the faux inquest had taken place. I have recently become aware of a couple of individuals who are trying to keep the case alive. I may report on those in the future.
My own thread hasn't seen any activity in a while. As in many other cases, it comes down to picking the official timeline apart to show how the cover-up works, and that's probably what I'll continue doing. It will likely be an attempt to wrap up what can be seen as fake events purported to show Nicola's movements. I don't have the time to take the case further than that.
Madeleine McCann's Disappearance [2007]
Possible accident and disposal of the body, followed by a rather crude but elaborate cover-up, supported by the UK government. I don't expect to add much to the main thread, and I don't expect the case to be solved unless someone among the so-called Tapas 7 begins to crack. I have collected bits and pieces I find interesting, which will find their way to the Discussion Board as time permits.
Anne-Elisabeth Hagen's disappearance [2018]
I haven't been able to locate further developments in the case, which, according to the Norwegian police, apparently stalled during the investigation of the cryptocurrency lead. Apparently an arrest was made in connection with the crypto-deal, but it's unclear to me what has come of it. My conclusion concerning Tom Hagen's involvement still stands, and I don't expect to spend more time on the case than an occasional search for updates.
Summer Wells' Disappearance [2021, new]
Four-year-old Summer Wells disappeared on June 15, 2021, from her home in Tennessee. Allegedly, one might add, because it's unknown, based on the available evidence, if she actually had been on the property when reported missing. There are eerie parallels to the Madeleine McCann case, like Summer's dad somehow instantly knowing she was abducted. Otherwise, we're at the bottom of the social ladder, where the parents are struggling to make ends meet.
I've spent many hours pouring over interviews with the parents. Quite a few are available, as both parents have been active on social media in various states of intoxication! A YouTuber by the name of Chris McDonough2 had done extensive interviews with Summer's parents and circle of friends, some now ex-friends, in an attempt to crack the case.
Once again, we're down to a timeline that's been stitched together, involving a trip to a so-called swimming hole where Summer supposedly took a dip and may have suffered some kind of accident. There are a lot of moving parts in this case, and I will likely confine myself to posting research already done by a number of YouTubers. I have no doubt we're dealing with foul play, and at least the parents and grandmother possess guilty knowledge.
Natalie Wood Drowning [1981, new]
Well, it's one of those cases where a deathbed confession is needed to solve it. Although the captain of the boat, Dennis Davern, started talking in 2011, nothing really came of it. Christopher Walken and Robert Wagner (her husband) haven't been charged with anything and have been tight-lipped about what happened on the boat. An interview with Christopher Walken published in Playboy magazine raises some serious red flags. I may do a statement analysis of the Playboy interview, but otherwise, I don't expect to spend more time on the case.
The Olof Palme Murder [1986, new]
Olof Palme, the Swedish PM at the time, was shot dead while walking home from the movie theater accompanied by his wife, Lisbeth Palme. There is no end to the twists and turns in this case, but any person with half a brain should be able to see we're dealing with an inside job and a government-sponsored cover-up. There are striking similarities to the JFK cover-up, including a patsy who was eventually cleared of suspicion and released from jail.
The investigation was officially and conveniently shut down in 2020, when a deceased person of interest by the name of Stig Engström was nominated as the primary suspect. This so-called final investigation was a scam, much like the Nicola Bulley coroner's inquest. Although the intent was to shut down the interest in the case for good, it seems to have had an adverse effect.
The most promising development has been in the analysis of what is known as the LAC tape, an equivalent to the Dallas police tapes associated with the JFK case. It has been established that the tape was tampered with to introduce a fake timeline. This seems to be linked to the arrival of two ambulances at the crime scene, the first of which was waved down by bystanders.
Timeline analysis paired with strange inconsistencies among ambulance crews suggest that a second ambulance was waiting in the wings, prepared for something to go down. By pure happenstance, another crew returning from a job completed was spotted by civilians who rushed to the crime scene. All this supports the notion of a preplanned assault on Olof Palme.
Anyway, this case is of a magnitude comparable to the JFK case. Since the case files are all in Swedish, unless one is well versed in Swedish or possibly another Scandinavian language, trying to make sense of the original material is unlikely to work. I assume the average visitor to this forum is unlikely to possess the language skills required to interpret Swedish transcripts or taped interviews, and consequently, I've dropped the idea of even doing a comparative analysis of the two cases.
SUMMARY:
What all this boils down to is that my focus will switch back to the JFK case, and I will do occasional updates to the Jonbenet case. As outlined above, I may do some kind of summary update on the other Foul Play cases. The "new" cases will be on the backburner and may never be featured on the Foul Play Board. My announced pattern of one case per month will be more like one subject per month when dealing with the JFK and Tippit murders.
In dealing with the Jonbenet case, I might devote a month to catch you up on a specific subject or interview as well, or even some gold nuggets from Steve Thomas' book3, which I just purchased. It's an easy read and well organized compared to Schiller's Perfect Murder, Perfect Town. What I forgot to mention above regarding the Jonbenet case is the main thread that ranks the key evidence. I really should get that wrapped up.
In the realm of crime fiction, to those of you who remember the Hill Street Blues TV series, all that is left to say is, Hey, let's be careful out there!
