MAL COUCH AND THE DEVIL( Link: 246 The original Couch-film) Mal Couch was a very religious man. He wrote and co-wrote religious titles and produced films also, like this one, called 666, from 1972: "A group of people inside an underground complex which possesses high tech computers which tracks world events consider all options as nuclear war is at hand, air supplies may last only eight days and Biblical prophesy unfolds." You can still find some of Couch's books online. The image I get of him, scanning through the topics, is of a man pre-occupied with the threats against his faith (like Darwinism), the prophecies of the bible, specifically about the end of times, and the return of the Messiah. According to the Wheaton College archives, Couch also co-produced a film with born again-Christian and former Special Counsel to President Richard Nixon Charles Colson, called 'Someone cares'. I can find no further information about that film anywhere, has someone ever heard of it or seen it?

MAL COUCH AND THE SNIPER'S NEST
Malcolm Couch saw a rifle in one of the windows of the TSBD being withdrawn, but doesn't film the TSBD. In his WC testimony, he claims that the activity on the ground distracted him and when he did want to film the building in which he saw an assassin's rifle, he delegated the job to a colleague, A.J. L'Hoste.
Mr. BELIN - Is there any particular reason, Mr. Couch, why you didn't take your first pictures of the School Book Depository Building itself when you say you saw a rifle being withdrawn?
Mr. COUCH - Well, uh - as best I can recall, the excitement on the ground of the people running and policemen "revving" up their motorcycles - and I have a real nice shot of a policeman running toward me with his pistol drawn - the activity on the ground kept my attention. The reason I did not stay and take pictures of the Depository Building - which I had originally intended to do when I got out of the motorcade - was that - uh - another cameraman from our station, A.J. L'Hoste - [spelling] L-'-H-o-s-t-e - he came running up and - uh - when he ran up, why I said, "you stay here and get some shots of the building and go inside - and I'm going to go back - I'm going to follow the President."
By the time Couch was questioned by the WC, he didn't know or remember if L'Hoste had followed his advice or not. L'Hosty was never questioned by the WC, FBI, HSCA or ARRB, as far as I know.
David von Pein, years ago on another forum, where this same issue was discussed, posted a audio/video with Couch's testimony, two hours or so after the shooting, as evidence of the fact that the cameraman was not making things up to agree with what would become the official story. The thing is, it could also be used to bolster the idea that Couch knew something was up and what the story would have to be.

MAL COUCH AND JESUS
Witnessing the assassination of President Kennedy and the aftermath didn't shake Couch's foundations. Quite the contrary, he is quoted as saying:
“One thing that impressed me in the days that followed the assassination of President Kennedy,” he told an interviewer, “was that so many people appeared confused and lost at that moment. They walked around the city in a daze. They had no connection with life, it seemed. For me, my personal faith in Jesus Christ and in a God who controls the affairs of men, did not change a bit. In fact, it gained deeper roots.”
How did he mean this? God controls the affair of men. Did Couch see the assassination as God's will? Did he look upon his fellow men who 'walked in a daze' as people out of touch with God? What did he think of JFK?
A Papist?
Threat to society?
False idol?
