Actually, the car in question was a '55 Oldsmobile, not a Pontiac as stated.
If it even was that car...as mentioned in Arjans post (bottom) Meagher spotted the false assertion in the WCR:
"(4) that the jacket was not found by Captain Westbrook, as the Report asserts, ..."
I see no reason not to state they were flat out lying three times:

Mrs. Markham and Barbara Davis thought that the jacket worn by the slayer of

The crooked commission even in the foot note refer to the page where Westbrook stated he did not actually find the jacked!
Also note how they cleverly manipulate the reader into believing it was the actual car in the picture by adding the license number to the caption of Westbrook Exhibit C shown in Arjan's post; caption reads: "38. PLACE WHERE JACKED WAS FOUND BEHIND OLDSMOBILE, LICENSE NL 95".
How would they know it was that specific car if they DID NOT identify the officer who supposedly found the jacked? They also DID NOT provide hard evidence of the NL 95 plate having been noted. Westbrook is all over the place when asked about the location of the jacked:

Wow, what a disaster! It was Barnes of the Crime Search Section who took the pictures but he was not asked to confirm which was the actual car, shown here for completeness, as he correctly identifies the location of the lot:

However, as the continuation shows, pictures selected showed Tippit's squad car NOT the Olds in the parking lot. Barnes obviously knew what car to pick either from someone who pointed it out to him, or by the license number. Who was it? We'll never know because BELIN elected not to crosscheck with Barnes.
BTW, Westbrook was interviewed by BALL on April 6, 1964, Barnes on April 7. No way BELIN would not have known that Westbrook was talking BS when it came down to the details of how "he" found the jacket. Even more important to get all the details possible from Barnes...yest another FAIL by the commission.
