I found this gem -- CE 1954 -- while looking for correspondence involving Ruth Paine. She and Mom were very skilled at recovering letters that somehow might help The Commission although this one was intended to help herself out of a slight predicament: The 'April 20 Oswald purchase rifle' note in her calendar placed on the October page, see previous post by Michael. Luckily, as the letter wasn't dated, also the envelope was recovered and from the stamp it could be inferred when the letter was sent. Actually, it was the information about the postman also picking up letters that initially caught my eye as this proves useful in another context involving letters sent by Ruth Paine.
Then I noticed what the letter was about: that 'slip-up' in her calendar. It annoyed Mrs. Perfect so much that she had her mother find this letter to 'prove' the misplaced note was put there after the assassination. Of cause neither letter nor envelope proves anything in relation to the time line and note the add-on: "from newsmen I've learned". When was that put there?
